The Rule 147 has been amended by the Administrative Council from the European Office. From 1stNovember 2016, the European Office will keep the files electronically as much as EPO can. Those documents that are in paper format will be converted in electronic format and kept the paper format for a period of five years. After that period, they will be destroyed.
